About General Atomics

General Atomics is a general defense contractor in San Diego, California. I interned in the electromagnetic systems group which designs products such as the Advanced Arresting Gear System, Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System, Gulftronic Oil Separator, and Industrial Super-Critical Water Oxidation Product.

Project Management

I worked with a team to create and update a spreadsheet that manages all deadlines and due dates for drawings. This helped track progress toward the preliminary and critical design reviews.

Component Analysis

While reviewing engineering drawings for a project, I checked them for grammatical, dimensional, and tolerance errors. Additionally, I recorded all parts and components to standardize descriptions and research their compatibility. 

Design Validation

I created an excel calculator for determining the pressure drop along pneumatic and hydraulic lines. This allowed our team to validate the designs and ensure the effectiveness of the system.
